Two sets of twelve 19th century Smoker's Bow armchairs,
English c. 1880, the curved backs with over scrolled toprails above shaped and pierced splats, the saddle shaped seats on ring turned legs united by turned stretchers.
The 'Smoker's Bow' or 'Office' chair evolved during the second half of the 19th century as a variant of the highly popular regional Windsor chair.
