A Chippendale Period carved Side Table, c. 1760
with a faded mahogany slab top above a fluted frieze raised on square chamfered legs, with egg and dart mouldings. The acanthus leaf carved scrolling corner brackets on moulded block feet.
The table reflects the prevailing styles of furniture designs of the middle years of the 18th century and the published drawings of Thomas Chippendale.
