An Important Irish George II Pier Mirror

Retaining its original gilding, the swan neck top mounted with carved rosettes and trailing acanthus outside a central basket of flowers above swooping birds. The later rectangular bevelled plate supported by carved drapes tassels and serpents, above an apron with a central Chinese mask encased with flowing acanthus leaves. Irish c.1740
