A Set of Four 19th Century Horseshoe Shaped Chairs
With flat high backed horse shoe shaping to the seat backs, with turned supports on shaped seat, with turned and fluted legs, terminating in overscale ‘spoke’ brass casters. The overall colour matte and dry, with small areas of rubbed and worn back patina, and the surface quality particularly untouched; these pieces would sit well as both a scattered collection of architectural library or desk chairs, or equally sympathetic around a vernacular kitchen or refectory table. Generous in form, and solid in construction.
