A Set of Six 18th Century Hardwood ‘Drunkard’s Chairs’

Each with a waved and pierced top rail above a spindle fitted back with square uprights with turned knob termination, padded
drop in seats flanked by open arms (two with scroll sided lean), on conforming square supports with button turned caps joined by square stretchers and moulded bottom rails. The sledge style legs (making the chairs stable, and impossible to rock whilst under the influence) give this set their characterful title.
