A George II Carved Pine and Limewood Chimneypiece.
A finely drawn, late eighteenth century, pine and gesso chimneypiece featuring a breakfront shelf and a frieze depicting a motif of crossed claret jugs and flaming torches. On the corner blocks are carved, Adam-style urns with rams heads and acanthus leaves whose fine carving contrasts the fluid, unbroken gain of the stripped pine on the jambs.
