Reproduction Lighting Finishes
The real alchemy in the making of a Jamb lantern lies in the hand-finishing, a metamorphic process during which the surface is altered from raw brass to Roman bronze, antique verdigris and distressed gilt. In Jamb’s south London workshop, lanterns are hand-finished by the same specialist for up to a week, with the single aim of creating a feeling and atmosphere of accrued patination. Our lighting comes in a range of finishes, including polished brass and antique silver to the more colourful cadmium red and verdigris.
