Of highly refined form, with rare and unusual simulated maple decoration on the case, decorated and surmounted with gilded acanthus ornamentation and central gilt bronze lions-head, which lifts to reveal lock and for door panel.
The clock face, containing hour and minute hands, with separate seconds dial and date wheel, in white and duck egg enamel, decorated with pagodas and other chinoiserie motifs, and displaying spidery craquelure throughout.
The mechanism restored and cleaned, in full working order.
