A Well Carved George III White Painted Mirror of Broad Proportions

Of impressive scale, with scrolling and lightly carved pediment, centred by a vessel filled with trailing flowers and foliage, above a charmingly carved shell motif and acanthus decoration. The re-entrant corners contrasting beautifully with the lower volute scrolls and central bottom carving, with overall gently patinated white painted surface, and gadrooned border enclosing a subtly aged and lightly foxed later plate.
